WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE
I have been painting since I was at school (Douglas Ewart High School in Newton Stewart), more years ago than I care to think about, having been inspired by my art teachers Jack Maltman and Charles Manners. After leaving school I moved to London where other interests pushed painting to the back burner until around ten years ago when my interest was reignited. Since moving to Kirkcudbright, 'The Artists' Town' in 1999 I have had several exhibitions, sometimes shared with friends, but mainly solo of watercolours and acrylics. I exhibit regularly at The Harbour Cottage Gallery in Kirkcudbright in the Gallery's own exhibitions In summer 2009, 2010 and 2011 I exhibited, with former school friend Gabrielle Harrington, in the National Trust for Scotland's Broughton House Laundry Room for three months .
I am currently the Bookings & Exhibition Manager at the Harbour Cottage Gallery where I exhibit with ex school friends Gabrielle Harrington and Kaye Brown every two years. Our friend Peter Campbell joins us with his woodcraft. Our last exhibition earlier this year was well received and we are looking forward to our next exhibition in 2018.
Most recent addition to my products list is a bone china mug featuring images of two of my beltie paintings and my 2017 Belted Galloway Calendar (details on the products page).
