AROUND KIRKCUDBRIGHT

Kirkcudbright is a small town in Galloway South West Scotland where I live. It is known as the Artists' Town and has been the home of many artists including E A Hornel, Jessie M King and Charles Oppenheimer to name a few. For a number of years it has hosted important exhibitions of famous works not least a collection of Monet and other 'Impressionist' artists, including Renoir, which was on loan from The Kelvingrove Museum in Glasgow.
