WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE

STOP PRESS:
Parallax Chelsea Art Fair (London)
I am excited, if a little bit apprehensive, to be taking part, for the first time, in the Parallax Chelsea Art Fair July 21st -23rd in the magnificent Chelsea town hall. Entry is free (tickets available from http://parallaxaf.co/tickets.html).

I have been painting since I was at school (Douglas Ewart High School in Newton Stewart in South West Scotland), more years ago than I care to think about, having been inspired by my art teachers Jack Maltman and Charles Manners. After leaving school I moved to London where other interests pushed painting to the back burner until around twenty years ago when my interest was reignited. Since moving to Kirkcudbright, 'The Artists' Town'  in 1999 I have had several exhibitions, sometimes shared with friends, but mainly solo of watercolours and acrylics. I exhibit regularly at The Harbour Cottage Gallery in Kirkcudbright in the Gallery's own exhibitions  In summer 2009, 2010 and 2011 I exhibited, with former school friend Gabrielle Harrington, in the National Trust for Scotland's Broughton House Laundry Room for three months .
I am currently the Bookings & Exhibition Manager at the Harbour Cottage Gallery in Kirkcudbright where I also exhibit with ex school friends Gabrielle Harrington and Kaye Brown every two years. Our friend Peter Campbell joins us with his woodcraft. Our last exhibition earlier this year was well received and we are looking forward to our next exhibition in 2018.

I have sold over a hundred paintings since 1999, two of which were purchased by the Duchess of Northumberland. HRH Princess Alexandria also possesses one of my 'Belted Galloway' paintings. This year, for the first time I will be exhibiting at the Parallax Art Fair, Chelsea Town Hall,  in July.

Most recent addition to my products list is a bone china mug featuring images of two of my beltie paintings and my 2017 Belted Galloway Calendar (details on the products page).
